Asefeh Faraz Covelli, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC
Assistant Professor
George Washington University School of Nursing

Dr. Faraz Covelli is an assistant professor at the George Washington University School of Nursing and family nurse practitioner at Providence St. Joseph Health. Her research focuses on nurse practitioner workforce issues, with particular emphasis on the novice nurse practitioner workforce transition into primary care. She is also interested in alternative workforce solutions to improve patient access to primary preventive care and social mission in nursing education. She received her BS in Psychology and BA in Spanish from the University of Washington, as well as her MSN and PhD in Nursing from Yale University. Dr. Faraz Covelli is currently the project director for the Social Mission in Nursing Education Study at the Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
