Bonnie Hawkins is a second year pediatric resident at Children's National in the LAUnCH program. She completed undergraduate studies at Smith College then attended the Yale School of Medicine. She took an additional research year in medical school and completed a thesis on caring for patients with violence-related injuries. She is currently doing a resident research project on the child tax credit and mechanisms for how it can improve pediatric health. Her career goal is to practice pediatric medicine and advocate for systems and policies to better support family health.
