Brandon C. Newsome is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow at Children's National. He did Adult Psychiatry Residency at Boston Medical Center (BMC). In addition, in his 4th year of residency he did a Public Psychiatry Fellowship and a MA Department of Mental Health Fellowship in Transitional Age Youth with Autism. He has significant leadership experiences with the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, an the Committee of Interns and Residents. His career goal is to advance structural competency throughout the mental health care system, improve behavioral health access to care for marginalized communities, and to create equitable outcomes.
