Carol Gergis is a second year resident in Internal Medicine at George Washington University Hospital. She completed undergraduate studies in Economics and Applied Mathematics in 2014 at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. She worked at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Department of Radiation Oncology as a research assistant from 2014-2017 after which she completed her master's in medical sciences at Boston University where she completed a thesis on drug resistance in NSCLC. She then completed medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2023. In addition to medical education and research, she has a strong interest in refugee medicine and advocacy for marginalized populations.
