Christine Pintz PhD, FNP-BC FAANP, FAAN
Professor, School of Nursing
George Washington University


​Christine Pintz, professor (tenured), has been at the George Washington University (GW) School of Nursing since 1998. During that time, she has served in several administrative positions, such as nurse practitioner, and DNP program director, and associate dean for graduate programs. She is an expert on the use of educational technology and its application in NP and graduate education.  Dr. Pintz’s research is focused on educational technology, interprofessional education, educational evaluation, and patient self-management of chronic illness.  She has been funded by HRSA, the American Nurses Foundation, and the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. She has received a number of teaching awards: Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Educational Technology, STTI Best Practice in Technology, and the GW Bender Teaching Award. 

Dr. Pintz was selected for the National Library of Medicine Medical Bioinformatics Program. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, the National Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the National Academies of Practice.  She was a faculty fellow of the GW Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and is an expert on Human Centered Design Thinking and its application to health care. In addition to her faculty activities, she is a board-certified family and women’s health nurse practitioner and volunteers with the Arlington Free Clinic in Arlington, Virginia.
