D Akeim George is a second-year Pediatrics resident at Children's National. He completed undergraduate training at Duke University, and the dual MD-MPH program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He has significant leadership experience with the Florida Medical Association, serving as the Medical Student Section Board of Governors representative and Dorector of Legislative Affairs. He also has significant experience working with community organizations in previous home cities. He hopes to use his clinical and advocacy skills to improve acces to care for under-resourced children.
