Garrett Kneese (he/él) is the current fellow under the American Board of Family Medicine’s Center for Professionalism & Value in Healthcare and a clinical fellow in family medicine with GWU. They completed Family Medicine residency at UC San Diego with foci in integrative and procedural medicine while serving as a house staff executive for the Committee of Interns & Residents physician union and has completed a public health fellowship under the UT Health Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics. They have served multiple years in the field, practicing public health with community based participatory and educational frameworks approaches in Ecuador and along the Texas-Mexico border in areas ranging from adolescent and maternal health to anti-COVID pandemic response programming. Their career goal is the refinement of skills in the policy-based integrations of medical & public health practice, healthcare worker organizing, and community engagement methodologies.
