Hira Mohyuddin is a third-year psychiatry resident at GW. She is passionate about advocacy and believes her experience working on Capitol Hill was instrumental in helping her realize that she is drawn towards advocating for underrepresented populations, for equity in access and delivery of health care, and for parity for mental health services. She has been a member of a multidisciplinary team of physicians for the past fourteen years, during which time, she has led research projects, presented at national conferences, and has multiple publications to her credit. She is currently serving as Co-Chair of the Wellness Committee and was recently elected as the American Psychiatric Association Deputy Representative for the Area 3 Council. She is also a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
