Jeremiah Mungo

Jeremiah Mungo is a captivating keynote speaker, Restorative Justice Specialist, and Victim Impact Facilitator dedicated to transforming lives through truth, accountability, and healing. Deeply impacted by his own personal experiences with the criminal justice system, Jeremiah brings an authentic and powerful perspective to his work—one rooted in lived experience, reflection, and a commitment to growth. Through that journey, he has developed a thoughtful understanding of the complexities of the law and the profound ways it affects individuals, families, and communities.

Drawing from both experience and extensive training, Jeremiah delivers powerful presentations that challenge audiences to confront difficult realities while embracing sustainable solutions for personal and community transformation. His work encourages people to move beyond labels and mistakes, emphasizing responsibility, restoration, and the power of change.

Jeremiah has shared his message with students, educators, and professionals at respected institutions including American University and the UC Davis School of Law, where his lectures focus on restorative justice, the long-term impact of choices, and the human side of the justice system. As a passionate youth mentor, he develops workshops that highlight the everyday pitfalls many individuals face while equipping participants with practical tools to navigate life with awareness, accountability, and purpose.

Known for his humility, authenticity, and integrity, Jeremiah lives by one of his most profound principles: “Those who value their word, rarely give it.” His commitment to service is reflected in years of training as a Suicide Watch Companion and his participation in the Alternatives to

Violence Project (AVP), along with numerous human relations and wellness development programs.

A proud native of Washington, D.C., Jeremiah is also a devoted girl dad, a recipient of the President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award, a spokesperson for More Than Our Crimes, and a steadfast advocate for meaningful criminal justice reform. Through his speaking, mentorship, and advocacy, Jeremiah is driven by a clear mission: to impact hearts, transform minds, and help people recognize that their future is not defined by their past.
