Kirsten Walton is an emergency medicine chief resident at the George Washington University Hospital. She completed her undergraduate education in biology and art history at the University of Cincinnati and medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Next year she will start her emergency medicine fellowship in Health Equity at the George Washington University. Her primary research interest is advancing care for patients who have been sexually assaulted. She has completed advanced certification in both sexual assault and asylum forensic exams. Through research and advocacy, her career goal is to end sexual violence and advance justice for sexually assaulted patients.
