LOlanrewaju (Lanre) Falusi, MD, MEd is a primary care pediatrician at Children’s National Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences focused on the intersection of health equity, advocacy, and medical education. As Medical Director of Advocacy Education in the Child Health Advocacy Institute of Children’s National, Dr. Falusi develops advocacy curricula for trainees and faculty and researches the health outcomes of governmental policies. As a recent Macy Faculty Scholar, she leads community-engaged medical education research initiatives. She has held local and national leadership positions in the American Academy of Pediatrics, currently serving as a Spokesperson and a member of the Committee on Federal Government Affairs. She has spoken at conferences, in Congress, and in the media on topics including poverty, antiracism, immigrant health, and faculty development. Along with another doctor-mom, she co-hosts a podcast on health and parenting. Dr. Falusi attended medical school at the University of Virginia and completed residency and chief residency at Children’s National.
