Marc Ruszaj, MD,

Marc Ruszaj is a fourth-year psychiatry resident at George Washington University, where he serves as the administrative chief resident. He completed his undergraduate studies at Canisius College and earned his medical degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. Marc is currently pursuing an MPH with a focus on health policy at GW, set to graduate in May. Active in psychiatric advocacy, he served as the Area 3 Resident Representative for the American Psychiatric Association, spearheading action papers on resident physician suicide and SOGI data collection in psychiatric units. Locally, he is a member of the Washington Psychiatric Society's Legislative Advocacy Committee, focusing on DC-specific mental health policies. Marc plans to pursue fellowships in child and adolescent psychiatry and potentially forensic psychiatry, integrating clinical practice with health policy and advocacy to improve patient care.
