Ms. Seiler is an Associate Research Professor at the Department of Health Policy and Management, George Washington University. Professor Seiler’s research focuses on the intersection of health system reform and public health. She worked for nearly eight years as Counsel to Rep. Henry Waxman, helping develop public health legislation, including the prevention and wellness provisions of the House health reform bill. She also served as the lead House staffer on the reauthorization of the Ryan White Care Act and staffed hearings and legislative markups on federal mental health and substance abuse programs, health disparities, and other public health topics. Prior to working on the Hill, Professor Seiler was a Greenwall Fellow in Bioethics and Health Policy at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She received her undergraduate degree at Harvard and her law degree at Yale.
