She earned her medical degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and completed a Geriatrics fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Throughout residency, she has demonstrated strong leadership and advocacy, serving as the resident liaison for the Howard University program to the DC American Academy of Family Physicians and as Chief Resident of Administration. Yemi is passionate about health equity, systems improvement, and advancing high-quality, patient-centered care. Her career goal is to merge advocacy with clinical practice to advance patient care, while contributing to policies and initiatives that strengthen primary care delivery.
