
Priya Punnoose, MD
Priya Punnoose is a chief fellow at the Children's National Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program. She completed her undergraduate training at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her medical school, The American University of Antigua, provided her with the opportunity to participate in a study abroad program at the Kasturba Medical College in India. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at Central Michigan University, where she gained leadership and advocacy experience through her involvement in the Michigan Psychiatric Society and in various local committees. Her career goal is to use her psychiatric background to advocate for issues regarding both mental health and social justice.
