Sabihul Alam, MD, JD
Children's National Medical Center, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Sabihul Alam, MD, JD, is a second-year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellow at  Children’s National. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of  Toronto and earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law before pursuing  medicine. He graduated from the University of Antigua School of Medicine and  completed his psychiatry residency at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten  Island, New York. Dr. Alam is a licensed attorney, a member of the New York State Bar  and the American Bar Association. During residency, he received the Resident Teaching  Award in recognition of his dedication to medical education. He is passionate about  integrating his expertise in medicine and law to advocate for vulnerable populations  within the legal system.
