
Sharwat Jahan, MD
Sharwat Jahan is a third-year psychiatry resident at The George Washington University, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She completed undergraduate training at Stony Brook University, medical school at Frank H. Netter, MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, and a preliminary intern year in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Connecticut, before joining GWU as a PGY2 psychiatry resident. Between undergraduate college and medical school, Sharwat worked as a clinical research associate for two years at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation's Angiographic Core Laboratory in NYC. While in medical school, she took on the leadership role of the President of the Psychiatry Interest Group. And during her Internal Medicine intern year at St. Vincent's Medical Center, she served on the hospital's Code 99/MET Call Committee to improve patient outcomes. Sharwat is currently interested in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Consult Liaison Psychiatry.
