Amanda Moyer is a second-year internal medicine resident at George Washington University Hospital. She completed undergraduate training at Mount Holyoke College and medical school at the New York Medical College. She has a long-standing interest in the field of public health and health policy. She spent a semester abroad studying public health and HIV in South Africa, completed an internship in infectious disease computer modeling at the University of Pittsburgh, and worked with the Division of Global HIV and Tuberculosis at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She is currently in the Underserved Medicine and Public Health tract within her internal medicine residency program and plans to pursue a career that combines public health and clinical medicine.
