Taylor Nichols is the current Health Policy Fellow in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UC Davis Medical Center and the Advocacy Fellow with the California chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He completed undergraduate at the University of Michigan with a degree in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Sciences, after which he spent 2 years performing neuroscience research in the department of Psychiatry at Stanford University. He completed medical school at UC Davis School of Medicine, and then completed residency in emergency medicine at UCSF-San Francisco General. He has been involved in organized medicine since medical school, serving as the representative from his medical school to the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society, and then as the representative from his residency program to the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association, and has used these platforms for advocacy on health policy issues at a local, state, and national level.
