Alexander Beard is currently a psychiatry resident with GW and is the chief resident of inpatient psychiatry. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in microbiology from the University of South Florida. He has held a variety of jobs such as managing a board game store, selling copying machines, and tutoring for the SAT and MCAT. He completed his medical education at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Outside of GW, he is also employed as a psychiatrist by the Weekend Clinic. His current interests are psychodynamic psychotherapy, ethics, consult-liaison psychiatry, and end of life care.
