Christopher Clifford, MD

Chris is a second-year health policy fellow and is currently completing his placement at The White House in the Office of Science and Technology Policy. He originally comes from Reno, Nevada where he completed his undergraduate in biochemistry. He went to medical school at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and then attended Emergency Medicine residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. In between his third and fourth year of medical school, he completed a year's long placement at the American Medical Association as their Government Relations
Advocacy Fellow. Chris is mainly interested in health policy as it interacts with pandemic preparedness and response. He is also interested in policy changes in medical AI, access to care, health economics, and violence prevention. Chris works clinically in the local ED's of United Medical Center and the Washington DC Veteran Administration Medical Center and is also attending classes to obtain his MPH in health policy from the Milken Institute School of Public Health.
