Leah Newcomer, MD
Children's National Medical Center, Pediatrics

Leah is a pediatrics resident at Children's National in her second year of training. She is in the LAUnCH track of the program, which focuses on education around advocacy and community medicine. She is interested in a career that promotes health equity. She grew up in St. Louis, MO where she went to medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. She studied psychology at Brown University for undergrad and spent 3 years between graduation and medical school working on neuroscience research projects. She has zero experience in the world of health policy and is excited to learn more.
