Omair Khokhar is a fourth year medical student at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences with a concentration in health policy. He completed undergraduate training at the University of Virginia where he majored in Biology and minored in Religious Studies. In addition, Omair also received a Master of Public Health from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in a 4+1 program. During the summer of MS1, he completed an internship with the Federation of State Medical Boards where he worked on projects including a review of state medical boards current regulations on buprenorphine and universal guidelines/policies on inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA). Omair is passionate about pharmaceutical drug pricing regulations and hopes to use his professional background to help make a lasting impact.
