Sarah Schear is a pediatric resident physician at Children’s National and a graduate of the UC Berkeley – UC San Francisco Joint Medical Program. Prior to medical school, Sarah completed her B.A. in Anthropology at Amherst College and a Fulbright-Nehru Research Fellowship in North India. Sarah’s love for communities in India and the United States on the front lines of climate change has motivated her passion for supporting medical trainee participation in the climate justice movement, and she served as the founding co-chair of Advocacy for Medical Students for a Sustainable Future. She is also passionate about palliative care, and hopes to weave these interests together in a career of clinical care for children with serious illness and policy advocacy.
